How to Customize Part Numbers & UOM at the Product Level

(Recommended for Editing Only a Few Custom Part Numbers or UOMs)

1. First login to your Admin Panel.

2. On the left-side menu, click Catalog Management. This will open a dropdown menu.

3. From the dropdown menu, click Organize a Catalog.

4.  From the catalog dropdown menu, select the catalog where you'd like to add custom part numbers or change UOMs.

5. Locate the category or subcategory where the product resides and click the Products button.

6. Locate the product you'd like to add custom part numbers or change UOMs. Under the View column, click on the SKUs button.

 

 

7. In the SKU # column, locate the SKU that you'd like to change to a custom part number. Enter your Custom Part Number into the field next to the SKU number.

8. In the UOM Override column, locate the current UOM. Enter the new UOM you would like to override the current UOM.

 

 

Note: The entry form will autosave as you navigate or tab through the different fields. A green checkmark ✅ will appear after you leave a field, indicating that your changes have been saved.

How to Customize Part Numbers & UOM Using Our Price Data Export / Import Tool

(Recommended for Editing Several Custom Part Numbers or UOMs)

1. First login to your Admin Panel.

2. On the left-side menu, click Pricing. This will open a dropdown menu.

3. From the dropdown menu, click Price Data Export. This will take you to the Price Data Export page.

4. Under the Catalog section, click the Select a Catalog to Export dropdown menu and click on the catalog you'd like to export from.

5. Under the Category section, you have a few options:

    • To add custom part numbers or change UOMs within a top level category:
      • Click on the Top Level Category dropdown menu.
      • Select a top level category.

 

 

    • To add custom part numbers or change UOMs within a subcategory:
      • Click on the Top Level Category dropdown menu.
      • Select a top level category. This will populate subcategories in the Category field below.
      • From the Category field, select a subcategory.
      • Click the Right Arrow icon ➡️. This will move the selected subcategory over into the Selected Categories section.

Tip: You can repeat this process to add multiple subcategories to your Price Data Export.

      • To remove a subcategory from the Selected Categories section, select the subcategory within the Selected Categories section and click the Left Arrow icon ⬅️.

 


 

    • To add custom part numbers or change UOMs from a specific manufacturer:
      • Click on the Manufacturer dropdown menu.
      • Select the manufacturer.
    • To add custom part numbers or change UOMs within the entire catalog:
      • Click on the Check to Export All Categories In This Catalog checkbox.

 

 

6. Click the Export File button.

 

Important: Do not navigate away from the page while the export file is being prepared. Larger files will take several minutes to export.

 

7. Once the file is ready, click on the Click Here To Download link near the top of the page.

 

 

8. Locate and open the Price Data Export Excel Spreadsheet that you've just downloaded. It likely resides in the Downloads folder on your computer.

 

Important: DO NOT ADD OR DELETE ANY COLUMNS. If you do, you will be unable to import the spreadsheet back into your store.

 

9. To add a Custom Part Number, enter your custom part number in Column AU (Custom Part Number).

10. To override the current Unit of Measure, enter the unit of measure you'd like to use in Column AV (UOM Override).

 

 

11. Once you've finished editing the Price Export file Excel spreadsheet, save the file as an Excel 97-2003 Workbook (*.xls).

 

 

12. Close the Price Export file Excel spreadsheet.

13. Return to the Admin Panel.

14. On the left side menu, click Pricing. This will open a dropdown menu.

15. From the dropdown menu, click on Price Data Import.

 

 

16. This will take you to the Import Pricing Data page. On the righthand side of the page, click Choose File.

17. Locate your saved Price Export file Excel Spreadsheet (saved as an Excel 97-2003 Workbook) and click Open.

18. Click the Upload Pricing Data button.

 

 

Note: If your file is not compatible, you will receive an error message with suggestions on how to resolve the issue with your file.

 

Note: When adding a custom part number or changing the UOM, the changes will only be reflected in the catalog you've selected. If you'd like the custom part number or UOM to be applied to other catalogs, you'll need to repeat the steps above.
